Connect a screen to your event
Pair a new display, choose a saved screen, and check that it is ready for event playback.
Before you begin
Have access to the display you want to use and check the event’s Event Screen capacity. Connect the display to the internet and keep Happic Viewer open while pairing.
A display’s pairing code connects the device. It is different from the Event code guests use to join and from the optional private code.
Pair a new screen
Open Happic Viewer
Open the Web Viewer on the display you want to use. It shows a short pairing code.
Choose Pair new screen
In the event’s screen setup, select Pair new screen, then Pair screen.
Enter the name and code
Give the screen a recognizable name, such as “Reception — main display”, and enter the code currently shown by Viewer.
Check Connected
Confirm the screen appears as Connected before continuing. Add another screen if your capacity allows it.
Use a saved screen
Choose Existing screen and search by name. Select the intended saved screen. If it is offline, reopen Happic Viewer on that display and restore its internet connection. Pair again only if Viewer shows a pairing code because the device is no longer connected to your workspace.
Check the screen’s current assignment before using it for an event, especially when your workspace also uses displays for signage.
Connect after creating the event
You can select Skip for now during event creation and connect a display later from the event workspace. Preparing the event does not require you to have the display beside you.
Once connected, test its welcome screen and actual photo playback before guests arrive.
Check the full display experience
- Confirm you are controlling the intended screen.
- Check landscape or portrait orientation and the preview.
- Open the lobby when ready and confirm the welcome design and guest QR appear.
- Go live and play an approved photo to verify the full path.
- If the display stops responding, check Viewer, its internet connection, and its pairing status.
