Add and organize collection content
Build the collection’s media pool and understand how content changes affect playback.
Content and playback are separate choices
Content is the collection’s private pool of images and videos. Items reference assets in the workspace Media Library rather than creating separate copies of the stored files.
Adding content does not automatically switch a Playlist or Layout source to direct media. Check What to show in the overview to see the active source.
Add images and videos
Open Content
Open the collection’s Content area and select Add media.
Choose or upload media
Use the available Media Library selection or upload flow. Confirm the assets belong to the intended workspace.
Wait for processing
Allow uploads and video processing to finish. Resolve any failed item before expecting it to play.
Preview the result
Review the selected media and confirm it appears in this collection’s Content list.
Search, order, and set duration
Search by the collection item title or media filename. Use Custom order, Newest, or Name to browse the list.
Load all Content before reordering. If someone else changes the collection while you edit, refresh the list and try again using its current items.
Images can use the collection’s default slide duration or an item-specific override. Videos use their processed duration; a photo-style duration override does not shorten a video.
Show the media on your screen
In the overview, use What to show to select the direct media source when that is what you want to play. Content changes refresh the direct queue when direct media is active.
If a playlist or layout is active, editing the Content pool does not interrupt that source. Choose the source explicitly when you are ready to change output.
Quickly push content to playback
Use the collection’s push-content action to upload or select images and videos and choose Append or Replace.
Append adds to the supported current content flow; it is unavailable while a layout is active. Replace shows only the selected content and replaces the current source. Review the chosen target and update mode before confirming.
Remove an item from Content
Removing an item from collection Content removes that relationship. It does not delete the Media Library asset or its stored file.
Playlist and Layout references to that asset remain valid independently. Remove the item from those sources too if it must stop appearing there.
