Create an Event Collection
Set up your event name, screens, guest access, and photo approval before creating the collection.
Start in the right workspace
Open the Happic panel, select the workspace that will own the event, and start creating an Event Collection. Check its available capacity first, especially if you expect many guests or displays.
Example: for a wedding reception, use a recognizable name such as “Maya & Daniel — Wedding” and a cover guests will recognize.
1. Event — cover and name
Enter an event name and choose a cover. Review the preview so the title and image feel right before continuing.
Schedule and location can be added from the event’s settings. A planned start or end time does not activate a paid pass or extend the collection window.
2. Screens — connect now or later
Choose Pair new screen to connect a display using the code shown by Happic Viewer, or choose Existing screen to select a saved screen.
If your display is not available yet, select Skip for now. You can connect a screen from the event workspace later.
3. Access — guests and moderation
- Require a private code if guests should enter an extra four-character code.
- Enable Approve guests before entry if a host must accept each participant.
- Choose whether new photos appear automatically or wait for host review.
- Set a participant limit within your package capacity. A value of 0 uses the package limit.
4. Review — check and create
Review the event cover and name, guest access, photo approval, participant capacity, and screen summary. Go back to correct anything before creating the event.
Creating the event is preparation. When a paid pass is pending, activate it before opening the lobby. Open the lobby or go live only when you are ready to start the collection window.
Prepare before inviting guests
- Customize the welcome screen.
- Create and apply your frame if you want branded photos.
- Add event members who will help manage the event.
- Test a guest joining, a photo upload, moderation, and playback on your display.
