Create a Screen Collection

Start from Collections

Open Collections in the Happic panel and start a new collection in the workspace that should own it. Check Screen Collection capacity before continuing.

Example: create “Reception display”, with the location “Main entrance”. Use a name your colleagues can distinguish from other screens.

1. Type — choose Screen

Choose the Screen collection type for this workflow. Screen Groups are a separate collection type and may not be enabled in your workspace.

2. Details — name and location

Enter the screen name, location, and description. Use a location that helps someone find the actual display, such as “Ground floor — reception”.

Check that you are naming the intended collection rather than an unrelated screen already used by another team.

3. Content — choose what to play

Select direct media, a playlist, or a layout using the source choices. Add or select the appropriate content and inspect the preview.

A layout intended for live playback needs a published version. Uploads and videos must finish processing before they can play.

4. Connect — choose a display

• Pair a new screen: open Happic Viewer on the display and enter its current pairing code.
• Assign an existing screen: select an available screen already in Happic.
• Pair later: finish preparation now and connect from the collection page later.

Create and verify

Select Create screen. Open the resulting collection and check its content, active playback source, and display connection.

If you chose Pair later, use the collection’s display controls to open Web Viewer or connect a physical screen. Verify the actual output before relying on it for visitors.
